Contributions Made by Omar Boraie in the Resurgence of New Brunswick
Omar Boraie is the founder and president of Boraie Development LLC, a construction company that deals in real estate. He first moved to the United States to pursue his PhD in chemistry before developing interests in the real estate sector. Through his company, Omar has developed several buildings that have completely changed the outlook of New Brunswick. Over the years, he has managed to turn old building into attractive properties that have wooed many people to New Brunswick.
When he was venturing into real estate, he points out that the city was awful. At the time, people could not walk past the streets after 4 in the evening. Looking back, Omar Boraie is a happy person because his vision has come full circle. The vision he had for the city has slowly been realized with much improvements expected in the future. Back then, when he gave his vision to some leaders of the City Council, they thought he was crazy. Presently, he has been vindicated by the turn of events.
Omar Boraie started by buying dilapidated blocks and converting them into modern state houses. After he completed buying the blocks, Omar Boraie built Albany Street Plaza Tower One. The building brought New Brunswick the much needed 250,000 square feet of Class A office space during the 1980s. Tower two was completed in 2003 and it is located next to Tower One adding more of Class A office spaces.
After completing the two towers, Omar noticed that in order for the city to develop faster it needed high standard residential units. As a result, he envisioned a New York City style building, which led to the construction of One Spring Street Condominium. Currently, it is the tallest building in New Brunswick with 25 stories that includes 121 residential units. It also offers 40,000 square feet of office space, 10,000 square feet of retail space as well as 4,000 square feet of packing space.
The latest offer from Boraie Development LLC is the Aspire, a 17 story residential high rise deluxe located on Somerset Street within the heart of the city. The Aspire brings to New Brunswick luxury living that is so convenient to would- be homeowners. This is due to its location that is near the train location that offers direct service to New York. Without a doubt, Omar Boraie has played a key role in the resurgence of New Brunswick. However, he is not quick to take all the praise but also acknowledges the contributions made by others in furtherance of his vision.
